ARRL W5CH Mississippi Scholarship
The ARRL Mississippi Scholarship was founded in 1990 by the late Clyde Hurlbert, W5CH. This scholarship in the amount of $500 is awarded annually to a Mississippi student, who has a ham license (any class) and is pursuing a curriculum in a baccalaureate or higher course of study in electronics, communications, or a related field. Further, the student must (or will) attend a Mississippi school of higher learning. An eligible student can be no more than 30 years of age.

All ARRL Foundation-administered scholarships are intended exclusively for educational use to provide assistance with costs of tuition, room, board, books and/or other fees essential to the education of the recipient. Magnolia DX Association Scholarship
The MDXA Board of Directors proudly announces the official debut of the Magnolia DX Association Scholarship beginning with the 2010 school year. The MDXA will grant one $500 educational scholarship each year through the ARRL Foundation Scholarship Program with requirements as follows: the recipient must hold a Technician Class (or higher) Amateur Radio License and preferential consideration will be given for students who are residents of Mississippi; if one is not selected the scholarship will be open for recipients in the ARRL Delta Division. A preference will also be given for students in the electronics, communications, computer science, engineering, or related fields; for students attending a Mississippi college, university or technical school; and high school seniors.
